Following a dominant victory at UFC 106, Amir Sadollah will return to action on Jan 20 as he faces 3-time UFC vet, Brad Blackburn, in a welterweight bout in the promotion's first trip to Virginia for Fight Night 20.

The fight was first reported by MMAMadness.com on Tuesday. Sources close to the bout independently confirmed the fight to MMAWeekly.com.

Sadollah, who was raised in Virginia, will get the chance to fight in front of his home state crowd just two months after defeating Phil Baroni to get his first official win in the UFC.

“The Ultimate Fighter" Season 7 winner stumbled in his first fight out of the gates, losing by TKO to Johny Hendricks, but bounced back with a strong performance against Baroni.

After winning his first three bouts in the UFC, "Bad" Brad Blackburn will look to keep his streak alive as he returns after seven months off dealing with a shoulder injury following his last fight, a win over Edgar Garcia.

The IFL veteran has looked impressive in his first few performances in the UFC. When speaking with MMAWeekly Radio in October, he said his goal was to face a Top 10 fighter or a big name to get him back in the spotlight.

“It has to be a big name. It has to be Top 10. If it’s not Top 10, it has to be a really big name or I’m not going to take it because I’ve fought guys Top 15 and that’s what I’ve been doing,” he said. “I’ve been ranked around that area and because of my injuries I get pushed back again in the rankings, but it’s like, okay, I’ve done that and now it’s time to go Top 10. I want Top 10.”

Blackburn will get his wish facing a former Ultimate Fighter winner on his home turf. There has been no official announcement about the fight from the UFC, and it's unknown if the fight will make the main card of the show or not.
